Over the last few years I've assembled the various components and systems necessary to realize my dream of having my own automated observatory. Here I'll try to describe each of the key components.
Certainly the one aspect of amateur astronomy that I've come to appreciate is that you can begin with a basic setup and continue to expand and tweak it as time and budget permit. Now that I have a fully automated observatory in my backyard I find myself acquiring imagery just about every clear night here in Redlands, California.
