Welcome to ccdsky.com.  My name is Christopher Cappelli and I'm an amateur astronomer.  This website is dedicated to sharing my interests in astronomy and imaging.  I've been interested in astronomy every since I can remember but it's only been the last few years that I have had the means to explore the nights sky like never before.  I'm very fortunate to have a supportive family that encourages me to pursue this hobby.  I use a telescope and some specialized electronics, namely a CCD (charge coupled device) camera to capture images of objects in space.
